The Heritage Center is located downstairs
in Maury Commons, the site of the old Maury Elementary School, in the former
gymnasium. Our address is 900 Barton Street,
at the junction of Barton and George Streets in Fredericksburg.
The entrance is a few steps from Barton St., on the north side of the building.
The facility is wheelchair accessible
with parking nearby.
Hours:
The Reading Room is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or by appointment.
NEW HOURS! The Center is now
open the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon.
Policies:
Patrons must register each time they visit.
All briefcases, bags, coats, jackets and umbrellas must be
checked before entering the Reading Room. Lockers are available for your
convenience.
Heritage Center materials may not be removed from the Reading
Room.
Personal laptops, scanners, flash drives, or CDs are welcome.
Center Staff must make all photocopies.
Fees:
Paper copies are .50 cents per page
Copies on photo paper are $5.00 per page.
Non-watermarked digital copies of an image are $2.00 each if sent by
email.
Blank CDs can be purchased for $1.00 each.
We will gladly perform research for $10 per half hour.
